Getting married doesn't mean everyone around you must fall in line to your way of thinking.
You know what, I don't even think the occasion matters to Katie. She's just using their wedding as a justification, but this is really just who she is all the time. I think Katie wants "a Ken," someone like Lisa's husband. Whenever Lisa tells Ken something about somebody she has a problem with, Ken is like,
"Oh, what a wanker!" or he confronts that person:
"You better not talk like that to Lisa or I'll knock you out!"It's delusional, of course, because Shwartz isn't Ken and Katie certainly isn't Lisa, but I think that's ultimately the reason why Katie gets so angry whenever Tom so much as voices his opinion. She doesn't think he's supposed to have his own thoughts. He's just supposed to "support" whatever she says. Tom just tries to gently show her the error of her ways, but Katie doesn't yet understand that people are supposed to grow and learn and mature. Instead of considering his insights, she takes everything he says as a slight.
You think I'd speak for you? I don't even know your language.
