Fish fry Katie

So by losing his job, he got killed? ...

He went back to Farmer Joe's to get his job back, met Katie, made an impression on her. She saw him on BART and that Latin gang-DB picked a fight when she called Oscar's name. Wonder if any of that really happened? Seems like there'd be more than one cell phone video to review.

Not much of a movie. They could have showed the trial and flashbacks, but that format is kinda beat. I spent most of time trying to figure out why he said 'Breh', and waiting for his side-action girl to text him.

In reality there were several cell phone videos.

Good questions though.

1.Did Katie exist and did she really call out his name on the train?

2.Did the prison gang member hear Oscar's name and then challenge him to a fight on the train?

Somehow I find that hard to believe!

I think Katie was put in the film to symbolize the lack of kind people knew Oscar had in his short life. Towards the end he made an acquaintance, but it was too late for him to develop a friendship from it. Just a guess, but Katie was mostly memorable because she was cute.

If that's all you took from the movie, you should praise the heavens for having such a prividged life.
