Friends will gather to take revenge in the upcoming Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 2, a sequel to this year’s viral slasher movie that scared up $6 million at the box office.

Rhys Frake-Waterfield is back to direct the Pooh-based slasher sequel, and THR reports this week that filming is set to begin on the brand new continuation this coming Fall.

In fact, Blood and Honey 2 has already scored several international sales deals, including in Mexico, Germany, Italy, France, Russia, Australia, New Zealand, and India.

ITN will release the sequel here in the United States. THR notes, “The production is expected to include a substantially larger budget than its predecessor film.”

The only thing I know about the first one is that it was savaged by critics (and has a rare 1 star rating from Empire Magazine). I'm frankly stunned they're doing a sequel. Did anyone like the first one?

I doubt anyone actually liked it, but I guess enough people saw it out of curiousity so the director thinks a sequel is a good idea.

It's a shame, because it's a fascinating concept (which probably explains why enough people saw it), but it's also one of those concepts that if done badly, can be absolutely excruciating to sit through.
