Great Portrayal of the Ventriloquist

I'm a huge fan of Batman in the comics, my favorite era being late 70's/early 80's and the 90's, and this is such a great performance by Frank Birney as Arnold Wesker/the Ventriloquist. I know the actor has been in a lot more than this, of course, but I really appreciate that no matter how much of a small job this probably seemed to him, he still got Wesker's submissive personality down perfectly.

I know no one is going to see this post anytime soon, but I think this shows a live-action Ventriloquist could work in a full-length movie, but of course they'll never get to such c-rate villains like him.

I'll also say I think this short does Zsasz a hell of a lot better than Batman Begins did, though to be fair, that might be damning with faint praise, though I did like his scenes, and Daniels really looks like he could be a good pick for this take on the Riddler if given a chance, as I found him eminently more enjoyable than Carrey's camp take on the character.

I haven't seen all that many Batman fan-shorts, City of Scars being one of them, but this one has always been my favorite for bringing a character like Wesker to life in a way that is actually believable. To the makers and everyone involved in this short, bravo.

For those unfamiliar with the short here it is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9_ioQP1XU3s

It's a decent short and the performances are all strong enough.

Did Zsasz even have a line in Batman Begins?

Nah, I don't think so. I did see it recently, and I don't recall one. It really was kind of pointless to make that random hit-man a well-known killer from the Batman mythos. Much like Gotham, I don't think they actually used him in a way that's much at all representative of the comics, though maybe Zsasz has changed New 52 up, as I'll admit a lacking of knowledge from era to now.
