Which of the 2 types of faher we see in the film is more frequent in Japan nowaday? The main character seems very traditional in his authority and exigency toward his son?

The main character is very typical (or maybe stereotypical) of the modern Japanese father who overworks and over-relegates.

I just saw this movie yesterday at the cinema..

But is the Over worked father, like an OLD type of father.

Or is he predominant even now in "Modern" Japan?
