The movie was illogical

1. The protagonist knows Godzilla can spit lasers from its mouth. The problem is that he has never seen Godzilla do that. How did he know it could spit lasers?

2. How on earth can two ships put air cans on Godzilla? The ships pass Godzilla, and then somehow the air cans all attach to Godzilla.

3. Japan's decision not to send a military to stop Godzilla was nonsense: "If we send a military, it will make the USA and USSR nervous." What? They know you are under attack, so why would they oppose Japan's order to stop Godzilla?

4. The protagonist said he couldn't ask the girl to marry him because "My war wasn't over." The reason didn't make any sense.

5. The doctor said ""Fighter planes built without ejection seats." to criticize the government of Japan for not caring about lives, but all fighter planes in WW2 had no ejection seats, it became standard after WW2.

I sort of feel like you wanted to be THAT guy who gave this the 1st bad review since this movie has had nothing but praise, probably a little too much over praise too?? 🤔

#1. The protagonist probably watched and read a lot of sci fi movies and books to know a beast such as Godzilla can spit laser from its mouth
#2. Plot hole
#3. Yes, Japan was afraid both the USSR and USA would use atomic bombs on Japan, just years after being bombed by the USA
#4. Japanese men have a lot of morals and will never marry a woman if a war is going on
#5 is not true. In Kong Skull Island, both fighter pilots in the beginning had ejection seats in their fighters

3. No, the movie said "Any GHQ-led military action runs the risk of escalating US-Soviet tensions." It wouldn't! A giant monster attacked Japan, of course, the Soviets would understand the necessity of military action.

4. The war was over! He was talking about his mind still in the war. It was irreverent, he had a job and behaved normally, and there was no reason why he couldn't ask her hands.

5. It wasn't standard, very few fighters in that period had ejection seats, use that as the reason the government of Japan didn't care about lives was stupid.

also i don't think usa allowed japan to have a warship in 1946. isnt that literally 1 year after they surrendered? the movie was contrived. i got so annoyed when the girl died that i just stopped watching. she died in the stupidest way and he had no purpose after she died. somehow the movie would go on for another hour afterwards.
