The only time it's tolerable to me for stupid cops to be in movies is when it's explicitly pointed out that they are stupid or if it's a comedy. I hate when *beep* like this goes unnoticed in the film. Speedman's character owed Reynold's character the biggest *beep* apology ever. Not only was he a jack ass and wrong about absolutely everything, but Reynolds did his job for him AND found his girlfriend. He deserved more than a punch to the face and a bullet in his arm.
share"whole" not hole, but I think he had no time to react in that situation since the other guy was shooting at him. But they would have learned everything about the scheme from the girl and all the information on the computers. In fact, with the computers they would have been able to bust everyone in the ring.
