M. Enos Cannot Speak Clearly!

What is with this actress's delivery? Everything is whispered, mumbled, garbled, uttered as if she thinks you're sitting next to her in bed. I get that she's trying to do something "natural" with her acting. But half the time you can't hear what she's saying. She had the same problem in the Killing--a show that I had to watch with subtitles. Surprising for someone who's acted on the stage.

I also think she overacts much of the time. Everything is a world-ending tragedy with her, every mood has to be epic. This movie would have been a lot better if Ryan Reynolds had gotten more focus, and Enos had less.

She's not a good actress period. She basically played a more domestic version of the character she played in The Killing. Why she has a career is a bigger mystery than any in this film.

Lots of dialogue was difficult to follow, but M. Enos was definitely the worst.

Wow! I'm not the only one to think I was experiencing hearing difficulties.šŸ

I have just watched this movie, and I came here just to see if someone else paid attention to this. From the very first scene she was in to the last, every time she opened her mouth, I could only think 'What?! What Mireille, what is it you want to say?!'. And of course when she's not mumbling, she's screaming hysterically.
I also thought when they were on the phone with Ryan Reynolds, before their daughter gets kidnapped, her enunciation was pretty weird.
I'm a bit disappointed, I thought she was a good actress, and would shine in this role.
