This is so embarrassing. I saw the movie a month ago, loved it, and now can't remember details of the ending.
The vampire is in a car with the main guy, I recall. But it's more than that, and kind of vague, but what exactly leads up to their being in the car? They are near a beach, maybe. Something interesting happens before they drive off.
Anything to jog my memory would be appreciated.
He goes to her apartment to ask her to leave with him. He sees the cat, realizing she is his father's killer. They leave in the car together in the dark. He stops the car, gets out to ponder what he now knows. To me he has come to grips with her as the murderer. He loves her, and realizes his father was an abusive junkie and is better dead. They leave into the darkness together.

Did the song at the end have any meaning in the lyrics? When he puts the cassette in they both look at each other in understanding, like they each know where the other is coming from and then they drive off. I thought maybe the song in particular meant something, but I don't speak Persian so idk what the words are.
I don't know the lyrics, but they bonded over music at least twice prior in the film. I think it's his way of saying - without words - that he understands who she is, even if he doesn't understand what she is.
Just my take, though.
agreed. also the fact that he looks at her and then puts on melancholic 80s music, which the viewer knows she loves and since he had the tape all along, now also knows that he likes as well, shows that he realizes and proves to her, that they are the same. a very subtle, yet very happy ending.
