The black and white striped shirt SPOILERS

The striped shirt looked very French to me. She had a western haircut, posters of Madonna, listened to English language music. She was a vampire who went out in her cloak. I was wondering about the symbolism there - so much western symbolism cloaked in the hijab like a pious Muslim woman.

There are so many possible interpretations of that - a western female vampire cloaked in pious garb who walks around preying on bad men..... On the one hand, it's a western ghoul preying on the Iranians....OTOH she is righteous, killing the men who arguably deserve it?

Did anyone else think about that?

Those thoughts went thru my brain. I was analyzing every scene(As I do with ANY film with a deeper meaning) and while I think there are multiple meanings. I feel like Woman Having The Power was the MAIN Theme. She chose her decisions on many occasions. She obviously had somewhat control over her being a Vampire. She was a human. She liked music, liked to dance, liked men... BUT, she was a Vampire too. I think her being so was just a way to relate with the times and tell the story they wanted to. Iranian women dont have much in the sense of personal freedoms. Her being a Vampire was what Held Her Back but also gave her the Power. Just my Pov after my initial viewing

And her cloak being all black but yet, you could sense that wasn't her "Human Choice" so to say... Idk if this makes sense lol

Or such much of an individual woman hidden under a black cloak.
I'm scared of the middle place between light and nowhere
