Before you start playing the game I will advise you to choose the hardest difficulty as the game is incredible easy and you will still end up completing it in no time.
It has limited replay value. So just some friendly advice.
I know.. I beat it in no time.. Now I want some kind of sequel already! I did love the game. Graphics, music, atmosphere.. Just sucked me in. I'm a sucker for the whole revenge genre anyways...and this game made me feel for Corvo and "become his vengeance" as I played.
shareWell good news then. DLC is available. Right now it's just some time trials, but they've promised story-based DLC early next year.

shareAnd although numbers aren't really "complete" yet... Dishonored did well enough sales wise to warrant turning this new IP into a franchise. My guess is that Bathesda is already pestering Arkane about announcing work on Dishonored 2. The 2nd in a franchise does have the potential to be a big improvement over the 1st. It's not until the 3rd one that usually starts to ruin things.
