Does Samuel get mad at you regardless?

He seemed like such a chill, nice guy, but at the last level he gets all butthurt over my character being "no better than the men who killed the empress" and all that. I spared two main bad guys, the high overseer guy by playing that recording, and I chose to "prove a point" by choosing not to kill Daud either. So maybe he wanted me to kill those guys? Or he's upset that I killed all the henchmen? Like I had a choice? My heart nearly broke when he shoots his gun to warn the guards and yells at you to get off his boat.

He only abuses you if you if you've been bad. In the good ending, he's much friendlier - even apologetic for his part in betraying you.

And I don't think letting the main villains live has a huge impact on whether or not the game considders you bad or not. It's how much of a body count you leave in terms of footsoldiers that really effects whether or not your considdered bad. I played through the first time without a single fatality, and I got the good ending. It's possible, and I'm not even a hardcore gamer, so you don't have to be the world champion of World Of Warcraft to do it. Just be patient, use stealth and your magic and try to stay out of the main walkways. Back passages and chandaliers are your friends. :)
