The Babadook creature looked like the Cheshire cat and the ''it's a metaphor for mental illness'' bit has been played I don't know how many times in previous horror movies. Completely unscary and the pacing was boring. Aussies are not good at horror, to be fair neither are us Canadians (our movie making skills are dreadful too). Leave it to the Americans.

Excellent horror movie. Far creepier than most modern American horror movies.

I agree except the exact opposite.

This movie just sucks. Even The Witch is better than this boring trash.

I agree though The Babadook was underwhelming.

I finally got around to watching this piece of trash. That's 1.5 hours I'll never get back.

Stick to the Insidious movies. They have jump scares every ten minutes.
