The best spoof since Mel Brooks

I am a huge fan of Reno:911 and The State, so it was not a surprise that I loved this movie. But still, with Hollywood's recent track record of spoofs like Scary Movie and An American Carol, I was happy to see someone finally do a decent parody. the film is not remotely funny. sure it tries to be a parody, but there's precious few laughs.

This movie is hilarious, a great comedy effort in my opinion. So many great scenes and quotes it's hard to choose. I think the first time the cops take the priests to the po' boy restaurant I just about lost it. I can see how the humor might be lost on some people outside of the states but I totally agree with the OP though, this is Mel Brooks awesomeness all the way.

Scheer and Huebel were great as the cops. Michael Ian Black's 30 second cameo was probably the funniest exchange in the entire film.

That amounts to about 5 minutes of this films run time...

If someone compares it to Mel Brooks, I'll give it a shot

It has its moments. Not great, but not bad either. 6/10

People who ignore history are doomed to repeat it.

I think its one of the most underrated comedies I've seen recently, along with Funnyman (1994), Loaded Weapon (1993), Student Bodies (1981) and Encounters of the Spooky Kind (1980),
