I am starting to have doubts about Sam Rockwell's acting chops; this is now 3 films in a row with him that have not been very good.

Blue Iguana is 'similar' to Snatch only much worse and not remotely funny. It is grimy and crude; with very little redeeming qualities. It is messy and uncomfortable; by design seemingly only the uncomfortable feeling you get is not for humorous purposes. none of the characters are remotely likable; but instead have completely unrealistic and over the top quirks that don't lead to anything significant in the plot. There are many times in which extremely long slow motions scenes are used (for no apparent reason other than to pad the runtime). There was not enough content in this film to justify a 1 hour and 35 minute runtime. There is hardly anything redeeming about this film.

I REALLY LIKED BLUE IGUANA...IVE WATCHED IT A FEW TIMES NOW...SAM ROCKWELL ALWAYS DELIVERS IN MY OPINION.🙂

I though it was okay, Sam Rockwell is great in almost everything he's in.

Was there anything in particular that you liked about it? Not trying to 'pick a fight' but I am wondering if there was something I missed? I love Rockwell; but between this and Mr. Right and Confessions of a Dangerous mind, I am just starting to see him as Sam Rockwell (same quirkiness) he has in almost all his roles. That is 3 films in a row I was disappointed with him. He is awesome in Seven Psychopaths and blow me away with his more subtle acting as a lawyer in Richard Jewell. But I am starting to gather that if he plays a character without much depth from the screenplay he relies on his 'natural' quirkiness; if that makes sense.

I DONT KNOW WHY I ENJOY IT...YOU NAMED THE ONE I LIKE EVEN MORE...MR RIGHT IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE MOVIES OF THE LAST FEW YEARS...I REALLY LOVE THAT ONE...I DID NOT ENJOY CONFESSIONS...AS FAR AS ENJOYING THE OTHER TWO SO MUCH...I DONT KNOW...TONE?...I DONT KNOW...BUT BLUE IGUANA AND EVEN MORE SO MR RIGHT ARE TOP TIER FOR ME.🙂

yeah we might just have different taste; I found Mr. Right an insufferable movie; my wife and I could not even finish it we were more annoyed then entertained. But to each their own, not everyone like the same stuff. :)

Thanks I try to be reasonable and mature with people that are discussing in good faith and not being jerks. There is already enough 'crappy' posters here, I don't intend on being another.

Because I was going after a bully in a hostile way and used profanity in response to the person bullying and harassing other users. The moderators didn't like I was stepping on their toes and doing the job they should have been doing.
