Alien Franchise should be handed back over to James Cameron.

James Cameron is the master at making a great sequel. His Aliens was arguably he best movie in the entire franchise. Ridley Scott has got to where he takes short cuts everywhere he can. Way too much CGI in this movie. I don't mind good CGI but CGI blood never looks right and this movie is chocked full of it.

Another perfect sequel created by James Cameron was Terminator 2. T2 was even better the the original with the liquid metal Terminator and slick use of CGI along with practical effects.

I haven't seen Avatar: The Way of the Water but it's recieved rave reviews on all the review sites.

James Cameron goes the extra mile to make a good movie GREAT. When he made The Abyss he didn't take any cheap shortcut he filmed an entire movie under water and it really payed off in the final product. It was probably the most difficult and dangerous movie ever filmed.

It's time for Ridley Scott to retire and hand it back over to Mr. Cameron.

You're invoking movies from 1986 and 1991.

James Cameron is a CGI worshipper himself these days. The last time he made a movie that wasn't completely animated/CG was Titanic in 1997!!!!!! Bold of you to assume he'd just dust himself off like no time has passed and deliver a movie like Aliens or T2.

Also he's way, way too busy with the the shitload of Avatar sequels he has lined up. Ergo there is zero chance he makes another Alien movie.

JC said he's way too busy to do another Alien film. Apparently he's got at least 15 other projects to do first before he could even think of anything Alien.

I do agree though, RS needs to step down and JC needs to come back. This is with the greatest of respect to RS.
