I wouldn't call it good. It was mildly entertaining and mostly boring with repetitive "I'll shit the science out of it" outbreaks.

I'm not sure if it was an actual shitfest, but it was certainly mediocre. 6/10 maybe? Scott really should STOP re-hashing this tired series, and move on to something else.

What I don't get is why the man wants to destroy what he made in the first place.

Reminds me of Lynch. S3 of Twin Peaks was such a let down [with the exception of a couple of episodes]. There was no need to continue the Laura Palmer thing when FWWM gave it an interesting ending.

David tells us in Prometheus:

Scott had to destroy the credibility of Alien in order to pop out the plop that is Alien Covenant.
