I agree. Nothing good has come out of this since 1986.

I disagree.
Instead it's time to reboot everything that came after Aliens, and have Neill Blomkamp get a shot at it, or at the very least have James Cameron at least make a decent movie out of it. :P
So much as I don't care for these movies, I think they have merit. Certainly as much as a crappy Freddy or Jason sequel. I think 20 years from now these movies may prove interesting. I could watch two more.
