It grows on you..
Very very slowly.. Not the best show on TV but it's not that bad.

Found it extremely intriguing from the get-go.
shareYeah, it isn't a bad show. I agree.
shareIt has ups and downs but it's generally a good watch. The great acting makes up for the sometimes-kind-of-boring writing.
"Hey, I didn't mean to cook your dog! But hey, those things just happen!"
It grew, alright.....it grew shriveled and brown. This show sucks.
shareWith only 2 eps left I think it's not too early to say I am a little disappointed in this one. I like dark movies about corrupt cops on the backyards of america. That "genre" suits me just fine.
So when the pilot came out I thought this looks real good. Now after 8 eps I think the problem is that most of the characters are uninteresting and cliché, we have seen all this before and the dialogue is nothing special. Look at season 1 of The Wire and compare I say cause that seems to be what this show tries to be.
LWS is still better than most on TV but I think it's forgettable.
Perhaps LWS is a clear sign the HBO trend with the transition in US Television from unwatchable 24 ep per season episodic procedurals to 10-12 ep per season serials is starting to wear on the scriptwriters? AMC, FX and Showtime have spitted out a few new completely forgettable serials last year and the Networks have introduced a few ones that seem truly unwatchable.
