Did Joe Lie to Frank

Did Joe lie to Frank about who Brendan killed. I thought Joe said he cut the head, hands and feet off the prostitute, but it was a man killed that way in the trunk.

Yeah it seems like Joe played Frank. I kind of missed the beginning but it sounds like Joe made it seem like McCann killed Frank's Russian girlfriend. Frank thought they were taking out Brendan out of pure revenge. But then he learns that McCann was going to be targeted by IA and that Joe knew about it. Now the body isn't the girl's but some guy.

Unless Alpert's covered in bacon grease, I don't think Hugo can track anything.

That's what I thought too. That Joe used Frank's girl to get Frank involved in the killing. I can't wait to see what Joe is up to though. Looks interesting.

I can't say I've seen the original miniseries, but it seems to me Joe might be dirtier than Brendan.

Just because there was a guy found in the trunk doesn't mean Brendan didn't ALSO kill Frank's girlfriend/mistress.

From what Detective Khalil said, it seems like Frank's woman was killed a while ago, I think she said something like, "it's been three years" when she was saying she was worried about Frank.

That all said, yeah, there's definitely some stuff that Joe is certainly not sharing with Frank for sure.

Couldn't you do something less drastic than sleeping with her? Couldn't you just kill her?

I was under the impression that the stripper girlfriend was Frank's "second chance" that was briefly mentioned (later with the comment "Do you really think you'll get a third" or something to that effect) in the talk before they killed the other cop.

I am guessing his wife died three years ago. The girlfriend was what Frank considered his last chance at happiness.

Ahh good call, that could also certainly be it. I guess we'll have to wait to find out for sure.

I think his wife/past relationship was the Khalil/Dani character. Tension was there from the start, then when he snaps at her to give it a rest or turn it off that sort of confirmed it for me.

No, I am nearly positive when we see his wedding photo it is not her. BUT, I do think she has a thing for him based on her brief comments/questions about his life.

That will provide interesting fodder now that she suspects him of something.

I agree with CJ, don't think he & Khalil have anything going, but that she would like it if there was. I seem to remember reading something along those lines from AMC too.

In the pilot Joe mentions something about her morning prayers. She was meant to be Muslim. I also seem to remember an interview with Mundy where he said much the same thing.
