The 1 thing I felt needed to change with LWS was Theme Song

I loved this show (the final 2 episodes were some of the best television I've seen; I love shows like Breaking Bad, Sons of Anarchy, The Shield, SouthLAnd & Dexter... except for season 8).

However, I felt that the theme song to this show wasn't right and was too upbeat for the tone of the show & didn't match the rest of the show's dark, ambient background music.

If this does end up getting picked up by Netflix, I'd hope that's something they change.

Thoughts?

Take care, God bless.

I'm very late to this post but I just had to chime in to say, yeah, I completely agree. Not only did I feel the theme was too upbeat from the first episode, but it was pretty cheesy IMO. This show wasn't really about drug dealers or other underworld elements so "Hustlin'" doesn't exactly fit.

I thought the theme song was okay, nothing great but also not really taking away from the series.

However, although obviously the criminal element in the series all had a hand in drugs, I considered that the "Hustlin'" reference also pointed to how there was such corruption within the DPD, with some cops on the drug lords' payrolls.

Even those who weren't ostensibly on the take, still were "hustlin'" to close cases any which way they could, even if it meant bending the rules and the truth past the breaking point.

Note that at the end, Frank tells Dani point blank that she is a good cop and so she should pack up her s--- and get out of there.
