shareI'm with you. I loved the show. David
shareI really dug it too. The fact that Turn and Halt and Catch Fire don't seem to be taking off makes me wonder if it might have a chance to be resurrected, but I'd say it's still probably less than 5 percent.
shareDoubt it has a chance, but I'll say it would be pretty bad if they somehow renewed Halt and Catch Fire but cancelled this even though HACF's ratings were worse.
shareMe too. Thought it was good.
Take care, God bless.
Couldn't agree more. I'm re watching on Netflix and I like it a lot more than before. Much better than True Detective, much stronger story.
shareThe problem is that for those of us who have cut the $$$ cable and now rely on Netflix Streaming for most of our series contents, by the time a really good series like Low Winter Sun or Boss shows up on Netflix, it's been a while since it was cancelled on its original cable channel.
Either you cable subscribers have to do a much better job discovering these diamonds in the rough and getting the word out to fellow subscribers to watch it to build the all-important viewership numbers, or you have to raise enough of a PR campaign when the pink slip is issued for the show to get it on Netflix's radar and to interest them enough to pick it up.
By the time we Netflix Streamers now see it, it is usually long past resurrectability - but then again, you never know. People still have "Arrested Development" to point to as an example of a series that came back after a multi-year hibernation, but that's about the sole exception I can think of.
I agree...

I just found out this show was cancelled, maybe it's me but how is it possible for shows like Family Guy, Hardcore Pawn, The Bachelor, and many other below par shows to remain on the air while a show like Low Winter Sun is cancelled after one season. I give up on broadcast television programming.
share"...how is it possible..."
Sad to say, but I think the reason is that "popular" TV reflects the general "populace's" IQ and (non)discerning taste.
Why don't AMC or Netflix renew the series for 1 or 2 more seasons. Maybe to put a conclusion to the story. I think I see TV shows not lasting more than 3 or 5 seasons in the future. Especially serial dramas. I could be wrong.
