So a small town Meth dealer discovers an Ex-DEA agent who just wants to be left alone

And instead of just giving this man a wide berth and continuing his slimy business, he decides to kick the hornets nest for seemingly no benefit and bringing down a world of shit onto himself.

Even best case scenario, and the gangs succeeded in killing the guy, there would almost certainly be other feds who come around investigating and head straight to Franco.

LOL! I'm thinking along the same lines. The Winona Rider character kept telling him they're killers, they're crazy, and Franco's response is... "Just negotiate for me baby." When the proverbial sh*t hits the fan, Franco goes crazy, he's surprised how everything is going out of control, like he's blindsided by all this. LOL! Like really? How many times were you told these people are crazy and are killers? Franco's stupidity is the catalyst for all the action, but his stupidity and decision making are all so contrived by the writers.

He was a stupid, meth addled tweeker. He had delusions of grandeur, thinking he'd be some big meth kingpin.

He was a total bozo, but damn is Tweaker Franco fun in this silly action yarn

Quite a good cast overall even if it was all a bit silly

To be fair neither party had much in the way of brains. A cop leaving boxes of criminal case files in his basement for bad guys to find wasn’t exactly the writers best moment and kidnapping the daughter was for why exactly? The sister being shot in the gut sitting up in the ambulance at the end without a care in the world. Okay, it’s pure hokum, I get it.
