Not quite as bad as a poke in the eye with a sharp stick
Nothing blatantly awful, I didn't roll my eyes or laugh unintentionally, but really nothing remotely special or remarkable, not even any memorable one-liners.

shareI don't watch films like this all that often so I tend to enjoy them when I do..
It's nice sometime to take a break from all the standard film bleakness where the good guy isn't really good or the bad guys always get rewarded and wins in the end.
So, why not this... this is just a simple old fashioned good guy bad guy story where the good guy is invincible and kicks some butt. That's ok.
Um, let's see, how shall I put this...NO. I don't even know what "standard film bleakness" means. I've lost count of how many times I've read some idiot online defend a piece of garbage by saying "It's not supposed to be Citizen Kane, it's not supposed to be an art film, blah blah blah..." As if that's the point. I like action films as much as, if not more than the next guy. I don't expect them to be art films, but I expect them to be entertaining and enjoyable, to have a minimum amount of professionalism for the genre. Die Hard meets your description, Speed meets your description, Lethal Weapon meets your description, and is Homefront as good as these movies? Exactly, not even close. This one was mediocre at best, 5 out of 10. It WAS better than Wild Card, though, I'll give it that...
