Me too. I'm glad they went off together instead of, say Henri dying in the war, and Agnes leaving because of the painful memories.
Victor and Violette were never going to work within the context of the show--Harry was furious at the thought of his former waiter romancing his daughter. And Victor knew Violette was with him for the thrill not the reality of the world. Within the context of history, they wouldn't have worked out because Violette, like her sisters, fulfilled Harry's snobby dreams by marrying an aristocrat.
