Depressing episode...
Harry on a downward spiral. 😞
R.I.P Victor i really liked him.
I knew something was going to happen, but I had no idea they would kill him off. I really wanted him and May to make a go of it.

I was also looking forward to him and Mae hooking up, I think they would have made an awesome couple.
shareYes, I was saddened by the turn of events in this episode too..
shareIt makes me so mad that he never got to open his restaurant, and never found love...
shareYes, that whole story line was too sad for words. I found myself yelling at the tv in shock! "NO NO NO!" haha (Haven't done that since the fight scene between Tommy and Catherine in "Happy Valley.")
The saddest thing was the act of fate. He is raised in an immigrant family in the East End with no advantages. Works hard. Brings himself up by the boot straps.
Miraculously manages to survive years of trench warfare when the fatality rate was astronomical...then comes back home to make good with his club.
Then...some little psycho toe rag who isn't fit to lick his boots....etc.
Beyond the character, it was a lesson in how fate plays its tricks in life--all that struggle and survival undone in an instant. It had a deeper meaning to me than just dealing with that one particular character's story.
