mr selfridge's missing daughter - season 3 - help explain

weren't there 3 daughters of selfridge?

at the wedding, s03e01, there were 2 bridesmaids for the daughter getting married......yet afterward there were just 3 selfridge children (2 daughters and one son), what happened to the fourth one?

currently im on season 3, episode 4, so did third one disappear or will she return?

is there an explanation???

reply

The producers/scriptwriters probably found it too complex to differentiate between 2 Selfridge sisters married to 2 Russian brother counts, so they conflated the brothers and sisters into one couple. They already had twins to contend with in Rosie and Jenny Dolly.

reply

I think the third one married a brother of the seconds husband, a French not a Russian?

reply

Yes, Beatrice (who?--the lost Selfridge daughter--oh) married Violette's brother-in-law and became a member of the aristocracy.

"You two ought to be ashamed of yourselves . . . two grown men acting like . . . grown men!!!"

The morning after Rosalie's wedding, it's mentioned that Beatrice has gone back to boarding school. This was in ep 3x01 or 3x02. I don't think she is seen again on screen in s3 or s4.

I'm currently doing a re-watch of the entire series. I'm on s3 right now. If Beatrice is mentioned again, I'll post the details here.
