Like the Movie. . .A LOT. But 'Immortal?'

Pshaw.

Off the top of my head, ways to kill Derek/Audrey:

Decapitation
Dissolve in acid
Explosion (A powerful enough one would essentially vaporize them)
Burn to ash
Cut into tiny pieces; dispose of each piece separately
Compress into a cube/ Put into a trash compactor (a/la Pulp fiction. . .call the Wolf!)
Starve? Would be interesting to see what would happen if they were chained and unable to feed for a Really extended period of time

Anyway. Like I said, that's just a really quick list, which illustrates one of the weaknesses in an otherwise really enjoyable flick. Kudos to the filmmakers.

Indeed!

Most of those would require help, and some would take some time and the "vampire" inside him would take over and save him (at least that's what I thought was implied). If they ever do a sequel they should do a series of webisodes where he tries to kill himself in various ways first. But I myself kept thinking why he didn't try to decapitate himself or Audrey, I guess he could've thought that the shotgun blast that removed his brain was close enough.

fact: 87.3% of IMDB users belong to the secret society of cynics.

What about staying in the sun? The movie showed an adverse reaction (but curious if the 'beast within' would kick in at some point)

They're immortal in the same sense as any vampire. They will not doe of old age or disease but it looks like most of the common vampire weaknesses are intact.

Remember the picture that Derek found of Audry near the end of the movir? Looked really old to me due to the fact that it was a drawing and the way Audry looked in the portrait. Looked like the early 1900s
