So-o-o bad

I can't begin to describe how awful this series is: ludicrous plot, story holes galore, poorly drawn characters and, worst of all, 10 hours of this nonsense!

What makes it even worse is the casting of Göran Ragnerstam, possibly the worst actor in all of Scandinavia, if not the world. He really tempted me to throw a shoe at my tv screen in Graven. He is no better here.

Who in hell came up with this plotline anyway?

Ha ha ha even over here in Australia shoes were about the fly at the TV. I dragged myself half way through to Ep 9 and had to ring Lifeline and talk to a counsellor to give me life and hope to finish the series. Made it , what an annoying series. All of the above about acting, actors, plot, music, etc etc and More. Such a slow stodgy series like the green goop some consume in the show. And....and we don't to get to see any monsters...damn!

Just finished. What an awful piece of crap. Lucky for us, they're setting up for a second series. Run for the hills! Run for the hills!

I rated the show with 5/10, i appreciate the fact that they went for something different but the execution ultimately was underwhelming, the story-line and the acting ranged from average to bad.

On the positive side they did incorporate a fantastic score along with nice cinematography boosted by Sweden's natural beauty that provided rich, seamless imagery and visuals

The funny thing is it only seem to be Swedes that hate and criticize this show. I think the show is good for being swedish and that is coming from a guy who normally hate swedish movies and tv shows. The plot has elements of Swedish folklore. Trolls, children goes missing in the woods etc. There are so many bad movies and tv shows that come out of Sweden but this isn't one of them. Question, if you hate it so much why do you continue to watch it?

reply

I'm a Swede living in the UK and loved it! Totally captivating, and how they blended folklore into it was fantastic. :)

This is why I look for comments on shows I have no idea about. You just saved me 10 hours of my life. I have many other Nordic noir I am finding and watching. No reason to watch the bad ones. I just finished Trapped, which was wonderful.

I rally liked Goran Ragnerstam. I am not familiar with his other work. I thought he played a not so human cop really well. There was a gentle humor and kindness to him which made his character different from the emotionally unavailable cop-in-charge stereo-type. For me, he was the big reason to watch the show.
