What happened to Peter's wolf in season 2 (possible spoilers)

In the first series, Peter's wolf looked like a proper wolf and was beautiful, graceful and powerful.

In season two, it looked like some awful mangy fake creature, not even necessarily a wolf.

I think that it plays to the warnings which he received about "turning" on the "wrong moon". Do it enough and they are trapped as some horrible beast not the more respectable looking wolf.

reply

Thats the way I saw it also. Peters wolf was different season as he was turning on the wrong moon

"I came here to drink Milk & Kick-arse. I've finished my Milk!"

reply

Why hasn't anyone mentioned it on the show though? That would be proof to Peter that something is wrong, because he kept denying anything was wrong with him from turning on the wrong moon.

reply

Yes, he denied it because he wanted to get the murdering "mask" guys, didn't have time to mess about getting 'fixed'. His cousin tried to make him promise not to turn again, but he wouldn't. Bad moon, bad wolf. Full moon, good wolf. Some of these things are just implied, not always explained with dialogue.

I think it was done on purpose. He was becoming a Vargulf. That girl, last season, didn't look like a real wolf either.

reply

Actually, her wolf did look like a proper wolf, just like Peter's only her's was white and more vicious looking.

reply

Exactly. Unless it was so they could do the scene where Roman pulls Peter out, which might have been more difficult with a proper wolf or something.

Disagree... Season 1 wolf only occasionally looked like proper wolf. It depends on scene, the Vargulf particularly have more scene that looked weird, most of it seem to have to do with controlled aggression... which is a lot more common in season 2.

reply

It's a vargulf in season 2. He turned on the wrong moon. That's how I interpreted it at least.
