Anyone not like Pryce's plan?

I'm not that religious, and for a Godless man it was easy for Pryce to see no problem with his plan for Shelley, but it bothered me that it kind of went unquestioned. There was hardly any discussion of a soul being lost. It was kind of implied a bit, but it was very grey.

Blonde girl was and would never be Shelley. It might have had all her memories/thoughts/even personality, but not her soul. The fact that Phase 3 was Shelley basically allowing herself to be killed was proof enough of that.

...BUT at the same time I wish Shelley would find happiness. Maybe the Doctor will find other ways.

I think Shelley will find happiness as she gets older and gets the hell away from Olivia permanently because Olivia is a toxic person. Just look at how messed up Roman is. What I appreciate is how kind Peter, Letha, and that Jenny chick (that was the name of the store clerk, right), Norman, and even Pyrce to a certain degree are to her and come to her defense when anyone starts crap with her. Unfortunately most of those people are now dead and while I think Pyrce has/had good intentions at one point to make Shelley 'normal', it seems like ultimately in the end it really was more to serve his own demented needs then Shelley's. I'm glad she rejected completely going into her new body. Another example of Shelley asserting herself. Something completely 'normal' for a teenager.

She didn't seem to understand that it was going to be a copy of her; even if it were a perfect copy, it would never really be her.

I think she did understand. She talked to the new her and talked about them being twins. I think she really wanted to just die. It was encouraging to her to know that her brother and her uncle wouldn't have to mourn her death because there would be another version of her with all of her memories but none of her disfigurements to stay with them.

I did find it sad and a bit disturbing the way they handled it. The fact that not only was she given a look at her new body but that she was alive when the new her would be complete. They even interacted like sisters then she was supposed to accept they were going to kill the original.

I would have found it more accepting if they had the body be lifeless then they had a machine that both of them were on. The old body would die as the new body came to life as her. Still could be a clone of herself without a soul but still would feel less disturbing.

Why would she be disturbed by the fact that they where killing her old body.
Assume the have the exact personality and their brain works exactly alike then she knew she wouldn't want to live on and stop her new body from experiencing the world.
Even if she felt uneasy about it she wouldnt want her old body to live in pain like she had all those years.
Ps. the new shelly actor sucks

Because she was accepting being killed so another version of herself would be alive. Both Shelley s were alive and contentious. It was more like killing a twin sister than killing an old version of yourself.
