Its amazing how this show went from an awesome character driven mystery/thriller to complete Syfy channel garbage with season 2.

I just finished the 2nd episode of the 2nd season. This season feels like a completely different show. I'm not really liking the change of direction.
shareIt really did. Its crazy. I really dont think I could name another show that made that jump so fast. I thought season 1 was phenomenal, and watched all of season two hoping it would return to that quality, but no such luck. I was still contemplating whether or not i would continue to watch it when they announced that season 3 would be its last. But given that fact, I figured I might as well watch it, just to see how it ends.
shareI'm assuming Netflix did not like the direction of the first season as they retooled and reduced the number of episodes to 10. I thought that season 1 was amateurish and cheap.
Hemlock Grove is actually the first Netflix Original show to be cancelled, so I don't think Netflix liked the show.
