What happened to Roman's ability to make people forget?

Season 2 and it seems to have totally disappeared. It doesn't make sense why he'd be able to do as it as human but not as an upir.

Spoilers below.

Maybe because of Dr. Pryce's treatments to make him less Upir and more human (probably more human than when he was actually "human"/not full Upir in season 1).

That doesn't fully explain why the ability didn't return when he killed the Russian doctor and injected the "lab concoction"/Upir food into himself through a tube. The vibe I got was that feeding made his Upir abilities return and he wanted those so he could fight for Nadia. It would have been nice if they referenced that ability at least once, since it was pretty significant to Roman's Upirism in S1. 

I don't know. This show was tenuously held together at the end of S1, with all the changes during the break they lost a lot of threads.

Why didn't Roman have fangs after his "suicide" when we see Olivia clearly did right when she came back to life in the flashback? The changes to Shelly, along w the actress, were very strange. Why didn't the doctor have the freak strength he has through the whole first season?

reply

Well I just finished the last episode of season 1 and Roman most certainly had fangs.
