What a huge screw up -- Spoilers

Wow. What a disappointment. What a mess. What a turd. What were they thinking?

If this was supposed to be the last season, their job was not so difficult: get the heroes to rescue the ladies, keep up with the bromance that was the big draw of the show and end with the villains dead or getting away. Not hard at all.

What a mess. New characters that didn't make sense or add anything. Episodes that were downright boring. Characters that were completely transformed and 'out of character' from the previous seasons.

They manage to kill the favorites like Destiny and Dr. Pryce and OMG, the biggest heresy of all, Roman?

The thing that worked most on this show was the friendship/bromance between Peter and Roman and they not only destroyed it, they obliterated it. Roman becomes this psycho and Peter kills him in the end. What the heck is this???

I can only imagine that somebody writing on this was really, really hating it and decided to mess it all completely to get back on the fans.

I can't believe I wait all this time just to get delivered this lame piece of crap conclusion.

Agreed. So much. At least Shelley got a decent ending. If they were going to kill off Destiny, it would have been much more satisfying if the Croatian dude had actually done it. Then that scene where they go after him could have been nearly identical but so awesome.

The first season was good, not prefect by any means. The second season was just ok through it has it's moments such as the bromance between Peter and Roman but the Olivia got old fast. The third season, IMO, was slightly better than S2 except for the bromance was missing between Peter and Roman and the plot of Olivia dying again. Was glad that Shelley had a good story line this season through still which they had kept the original Shelley from S1 a

This last season was a mess and I'm actually a bit shocked at how much so. However, I noticed a drastic creeping decline beginning with the focus on Miranda in season 2.
The writing and character dynamics suffered because of her, but she also set up the other characters' downfalls due to her choices. She stole a lot of the lead characters' agency as well as screentime that would have better served everyone. Realistically per the show, Roman and Peter should have killed her when she became controlling of Nadia, the baby that wasn't hers to control, kidnap, or kill.

And the best female character--Destiny--had come to fit in really well with Peter and Roman. That should have continued development instead of all the focus on Miranda and also the nonsensical way Destiny was killed. And the Peter and Roman relationship was by far the shows' biggest strength. (Peter&Destiny was pretty endearing also). Peter&Roman was destroyed and their final violent confrontations were written and executed without the emotional resonance that should have occurred given those two characters' intense bond over the course of the show.

But I'm not surprised there was no happy ending (except for Shelley and Nadia). This show is more like AHS, more horror. However, the way it ended was a prime example of atrocious writing. Being the final season, it was as if tptb decided to hate-write and destroy everything about the series, relationship, and characters that the fans enjoyed.

Evalina, you summed it up nicely!

Hate-write indeed. It seemed that the writers wanted to destroy the Peter, Roman friendship out of spite.

Thank you so much for saving me from this disappointing and poorly executed season. Needed to know what happened but now I don't have to watch.
