Didn't Upier have fangs in season one?

I remember when Oliva became a full Upier, she had fangs, her father did, and Roman did, also

They dropped it in later seasons in favor of a abnormally flexible jaw

These are Ukrainian vampires. Upier have fangs. One plot point that really bothered me among MANY.

They seemed to have dropped a lot of things. The Magdalena/Annie storyline is the most glaring change. The vampire mind control, the eye drops, don't even get me started on Shelley.
