Wondering when HG found out they were cancelled during filiming?

It must have been early in filming, maybe after the second episode? It seems like the first two episodes of Season 3 were on pace, then after the second episode thing really started to move quickly so they could get to the finale.
It seems like everything after Souls on Ice through Brian's Song was just hastily thrown together in order to have a quick ending, leaving a few things open in the event they wanted to revisit the series sometime down the road. It was a really odd how they decided to end the series by killing off Roman, Olivia, Destiny, Pryce and Miranda and then leaving open endings for Shelley, Nadia and Peter (Even though he is a wolf, there is possibility he could return to human through some sort of were wolf magic) and Annie (who given her Upir abilities, could possible regenerate). Season 3 probably had more of story arc to it, however since it was cancelled and possibly limited in funds, the producers and writers most likely wanted to end the story as neatly as possibly while leaving some aspects open so they could revisit if Netflix decides to bring it back later on.
