Just finished Season 3....*SPOILERS*

The writers basically ruined the characters of Peter & Roman for me. I loved their friendship in the earlier seasons, but it wasn't very apparent in the third season, since they didn't really seem friendly towards each other. Also, some of the things that each of them did was cringe worthy and totally out of character for them! Roman sleeping with his sister...again, and even after he knew she was his sister! Peter giving up Destiny's fiance in order to keep peace. Destiny, not knowing what a cheating bastard her fiance was (she's supposedly psychic?). Even Olivia's character was incredibly annoying, especially with ridiculous Chango scenes....it was laughable. If they wanted to kill the series, they certainly did a fine job of it! Basically all the major characters were killed, except Peter, who is forever a wolf, and Shelly who is running away with a questionable character as well as Roman's baby, who may or may not be something sinister. Did they hire a brand new team of writers who decided to throw out all the character development from the first two seasons and make them into something completely different?

Yeah I love Hemlock Grove and all it's quirkyness. I couldn't wait for season 3 and when it was announced it was cancelled it was a bummer but I figured it would get a good ending.

The thing was it was never a happy show but I didn't really feel season 3 at all.

Like you my greatest diappointment was the Roman and Peter friendship! In season 2 I hated when they were appart and when they came together again it was much better. It again lost this closeness in season 3. They were very rarely together which makes no sense since the beginning of the show it's been about how they are connected. They had an instant connection and shared dreams. Season 3 didn't even go anywhere near this, no dream sharing, no connection, very little screen time together. Like the scene in the boardroom between Roman and Pryce with Roman confirming him and Peter aren't lovers, it just seemed to be there to make sure the characters were seperated. Seriously there were two people from opposing races and they were best friends against the odds.

Some of the best bits were when they were hunting down Spivak this season because it was going back to the feel of season 1.

And what about the whole flying lizard things, they built that up in season 2 only to barely touch it and have it over and done with in 30 seconds! Also the fact that Peter and Romans dreams were about this end of the world *beep* since season 1 and they only just linked it. They spent more time on Olivia going cray-cray, which was entertaining, but pointless. Plus the whole Shelly storyline, what was the point? What was the point of the guy she was seeing, also very creepy because isn't she like 16 and he's 38? I suppose it was nice to see the girl with the good heart that was really the only innocent in all this get a happy ending. Plus what was the point of Annie, that didn't really add to the story. I can't quite figure out why we recovered Roman sleeping with his sister!?!

To be honest Peter being stuck in wolf form didn't surprise me and I would have been happy with that if it had been related to saving the world as it were from the stupid fying lizards. Peter being stuck in wolf form but with Roman and Nadia

I was ecstatic about season 3, especially since it was the last and we'd never get anymore.

Now I wish they had never made it and that the story ended at Season2, even with that big cliffhanger.

They destroyed Peter and Roman. To a lesser degree, they even destroyed Pryce, by making him an addict and having him commit suicide. If anyone was to survive it would be him.

They destroyed the interesting connection between Peter and Roman. They ruined a great opportunity with Magdalena, who formerly they were both related to.

The writers of this season did not know the characters.

I let you know me... see me. I gave you a rare gift, but you didn't want it - Hannibal Lecter

Yes it seems as if the writers were so angry that it got canceled that the made such a horrible season 3.
