A film that sticks in your mind.

This film is truly unforgettable.

Powerful.

Surprisingly funny too.

The subtitles stopped working at the end of the screening I attended.

Can you tell me what happened in the last few minutes after the cop goes back to the basement?

That's funny, we must've been at the same screening. CinemaxX suxX... and with Swedish subtitles for a Danish crowd as well.

But the way I interpreted it, the cop just said "there's nothing to see here, so I guess he wasn't guilty" or something like that... which of course, he was!

I saw the same copy with Swedish subtitles last night at FFF in Lund, Sweden. All the international guests had to leave because the organizers weren't able to get the key to unlock a copy with English subs, too bad. Anyway, one of the directors was present for a Q&A afterwards, cut short due to delay and the first question from the audience (among several good ones with equally good answers) was what happened at the end, because the subs were missing.
The policeman in the pedophile/serial killer's house said he couldn't find anything interesting so he should leave. You could see the last kidnapped girl, in a hidden room to the left. Policeman leaves. Screen goes black. You should remember that this was the same incompetent policeman who was described earlier by his colleague as not being able to find a corpse in a morgue. Funny and deeply upsetting at the same time.

Just got back from it tonight and was well impressed with it. The humour and darkness blended together surprisingly well and overall I thought it was pretty cool.

"Hey, look at that! She's not crazy, she's being chased by a cheetah!"

I saw the film at the Toronto After Dark film festival and it was entertaining, disturbing and funny. I think the little girl in the secret room was dead because of the colour of her skin.

Was the serial killer taking out his frustrations at being Leto from his own girls on other families and girls? Some kind of protection of his own anger because the sheer brutality of the crimes seemed to suggest intense rage.

Seems personal....
