i wrote that before i reached season the end of season 3. it's even worse towards the end when they try to sack paris. ragnar lets floki command the battle? what in the fuck? they think they can actually sack a city like paris. that doesnt even make sense. instead of going back to england to get revenge, they wasted their whole army on paris. it would take a ratio of at least 5 to 1 to take a city. i doubt they had like 50k soldiers with them. the writing became so contrived just to get the plot outcome they wanted. athelstan dies in the stupidest way. he just becomes born again and dies in like 1 episode. athelstan was a central character, you can't just remove him like that.
