For My Friends Who Enjoy the Norse Culture of This Show

When I encountered an episode is Season 4 that referred to a Dane a "a Berserk," I did some research, because I thought that Berserkers were German. Not only was I wrong, I also found the following, and interesting, link. The Norse had warriors who went beyond Bersikers. Why am I not surprised?

There's no historical evidence for the existence of battle forces of ''Beserkir''.

Sagas (totally UN-historical myths and stories) suggest that they were actual units in warfare.
