Disappointing
This is such a powerful story about the cruelty/racism in a reformatory school for young boys in the 1960s. How can a half decent director mess this up? By experimenting with weird camera angles, and having random shots of donkeys and alligators. If you want to lose your audience and take them way from the story, then this is the way to do it.
