This is also a movie about a loser who escapes to try and find themselves, only this time it's a chick and she lives.

In the end it was all just about nothing.

She made something of her life after her adventure. So how was it all for nothing?

One of the most boring movies I ever watched which is what backpacking trips usually are. Long and boring. Not all that adventurous or exciting.
I can appreciate movies that are all about nothing or that reflect real life because we don't get into situations where there are bar fights, shootouts and explosions.
But I couldn't get into this one. In the end, it was just all about nothing.

One of two things...either you didn't bother to actually watch the film, or you are just too dense to get it.

And what do you do may I ask ? Have you back packed round Europe or Australia ? Now that's definitely not boring . You're testing life every day . Pushing yourself , exploring .. Put I doubt you can grasp that concept .

Why are they losers? They are actual people and films were made about them. How many losers get a film made by them?
I did not like Into the wild too much, but Wild (both the film and the book) is rather fascinating. Very human.
