A despicable movie about a despicable woman

The whole movie is self centered, about this woman who destroys everything around her. Uses people. Abuses people. Wrecks relationships. Leaves a trail of emotional scars in her wake. And at the end of it all she wouldn't change a thing, for herself, because it makes her who she is. What about changing those things because of all the people you've hurt if given the opportunity? Selfish. Yet, at the end, we as and audience are supposed to have sympathy for this woman...and all the people she has betrayed for those years mean nothing.
