From the Director of Antitrust? What?

Thought that Peter Howitt directed Antitrust. His Johnny English was a bit better though. Says Peter Croudins or whoever that is that directed this movie. Don't even see Howitt listed in the credits. Either I'm missing something or they got the names confused.

Either way citing Antitrust as a marker for a good movie is not all that great, should have just titled Sam Jackson's movies most of which are far more impressive. Although he's been in some stinkers recently.

just thinking the same thing, though I like Antitrust, why not like you say, "marketing it as a SLJ movie".

and why does the director only have this movie as his credit, how can he have directed anything before that, to have this marketed as "directed by", how dumb

unless Peter Howitt changed his name

reply

I worked on the film and I can confirm that Peter Howitt was the director. Why imdb.com has credited this other guy is beyond my pay scale but I can guarantee that it was P Howitt on the set everyday directing

reply

Wtf was my reaction too. And it's not imdb that's crediting the wrong director. The credits in the actual trailer say this Peter guy, not the name of the guy who directed Antitrust. Which I agree is not a selling point and not something you wanna brag about in the trailer

It's what happens when a director disowns a movie... Uses a fake name.

That's why no one has heard of Peter P. Croudins... It's an alias of Howitt.

Just saw the movie and it's clear why he chose to use an alias... Movie was capital D Dull and had just awful dialog.

reply

Well, it's listed here now as being directed by Howitt anyway.
