I liked the beginning of the movie, I felt like it should have continued working as a courtroom drama then the thriller it turned into. Maybe even expose who davis is and ackman through investigation

agreed, they could have kept the twist until later making it much better

Yea, it might've have been more interesting had it been about the DA's state of mind after committing the hit and run.
