Cassie not the brightest

After Cassie finds her father's death she picks up an M16 but she doesn't pick up any spare magazines or other ammunition or weapons not too smart she gets to the convenience store and when she kills the man with the crucifix her weapon is on Full Auto in just that short burst she would have used up almost a third of the rounds that that magazine might have contained except for the fact that you don't know how many rounds were fired in The Massacre scene where her father was killed

So you wanted a teen girl who maybe never saw a real weapon in her life to act like a trained soldier? Almost every normal human being would've done the same thing, grab the first weapon and get the hell out of there.

Cassie isn't too bright the entire movie. She isn't grateful Evan saved her life. She keeps refusing his help despite the numerous times he has saved her life.

Bingo! Cassie became fearless and single-minded in her quest to find her little brother. However, under the circumstances, no one in their right mind would not be scared out of their wits or would refuse help from someone who has the knowledge, expertise and desire to help you. Anyone else would welcome some company especially from someone who professes to love you. That, to me, made Cassie seem insane.

She's a feminist wet dream, she doesn't need to be smart.
