1/10. Here's why / Esta es la razón:

I don't think that it's fair to say that THE 5TH WAVE is another cash grab on what's popular. It would've been, though... in a sequel (I doubt one will be made), because it ends with a small group of teenagers teaming up and getting ready to fight the bad guys (just like in other dystopian movies). Don't get me wrong. It's still very unoriginal, but we should call the spade a spade. It borrows from different types of Y.A. stories: ENDER'S GAME (http://vits-ingthemovies.blogspot.it/2015/03/comments-round-up-february-2015.html) and THE HOST (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kKyE6qKSEYU) (the 2 plots don't blend at all). It even copies LOST (the villains are called THE OTHERS) and CRASH (a character shoots another one because they think mistake a religious item for a weapon). By the way, that 1st scene sets up a gritty post-apocalyptic drama with moral and ethic debates but, somewhere along the line, that gets lost. Although I didn't like DIVERGENT (http://vits-ingthemovies.blogspot.it/2015/07/comments-round-up-june-2015.html) nor INSURGENT (http://vits-ingthemovies.blogspot.it/2016/10/comments-round-up-september-2016.html), I do think TRIS PRIOR is a well-written character. I can't say the same about the uninteresting CASSIE SULLIVAN. I'm not saying she's a badly-written character like BELLA SWAN. Actually, our desire to point out what's wrong with her gives us a reason to keep watching. I wish CASSIE had been like that but, as she states in her opening narration, she's just a normal teenage girl. Maika Monroe's performance is good, but it felt like Liev Schreiber was sleepwalking through his role. Some of the changes from the book were for the best, but not good enough to fix all the problems.

No creo que sea justo decir que LA 5TA OLA es otro aprovechamiento financiero de lo que es popular. Aunque lo hubiera sido... en una secuela (dudo que hagan una), porque termina con un pequeño grupo de adolescentes formando equipo y alistándose para pelear contra los malos (igual que en otras películas de distopía). No me malentiendan. Igual es poco original, pero al pan, pan y al vino, vino. Toma prestado de distintos tipos de historias de adultos jóvenes: EL JUEGO DE ENDER (http://vits-eandoelcine.blogspot.it/2015/03/resumen-de-comentarios-febrero-2015.html) y LA HUÉSPED (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kKyE6qKSEYU) (las 2 tramas no se mezclan para nada). Hasta le copia a LOST (los villanos son llamados LOS OTROS) y CRASH: VIDAS CRUZADAS (un personaje le dispara a otro porque confunde un objeto religioso por un arma). Por cierto, esa 1ra escena prepara un drama pos-apocalíptico realistamente duro con debates sobre moral y ética pero, en alguna parte del camino, eso se pierde. Aunque no me gustó DIVERGENTE (http://vits-eandoelcine.blogspot.it/2015/07/resumen-de-comentarios-junio-2015.html) ni INSURGENTE (http://vits-eandoelcine.blogspot.it/2016/10/resumen-de-comentarios-septiembre-2016.html), sí creo que TRIS PRIOR es un personaje bien escrito. No puedo decir lo mismo sobre la poco interesante CASSIE SULLIVAN. No estoy diciendo que sea un personaje mal escrito como BELLA SWAN. De hecho, nuestro deseo de decir lo que está mal con ella nos da una razón para seguir viendo. Desearía que CASSIE hubiera sido así pero, como ella afirma en su narración inicial, es solo una adolescente normal. La actuación de Maika Monroe es buena, pero se sintió como que Liev Schreiber caminaba dormido en vez de actuar. Algunos de los cambios del libro fueron para mejor, pero no lo suficientemente buenos como para arreglar todos los problemas.
