Wow, Its obvious you have never seen a thread like this before. All my points were not to be taken seriously. You are responding like you think this movie was real. I meant no disrespect if you thought this movie was factual, I was just having fun. Sorry if I offended you.

No reason to apologize to what is an obvious studio shill. 5 will get you 10 that freak is related to someone in the production company.

I have friends in the film industry but I am not asking them to help me out. I am what you call a screenwriter because I have pitched my film script to 2 different film companies and neither one of them have nibbled onto my idea. Some people have stated if you want to do something then you pretty much have to do it yourself. I would definitely love to create and make the film that I have written. The problem is that when you do not have the money or the funding to afford to make the film it makes it hard to do.

I liked the film because it was a very good action flick to watch. There were some things that were inconsistent to be honest with you about it.

That General would have been court martialed because if a team of Navy SEALS were sent on a mission that killed off pretty much several teams he would not have a job anymore to be honest with you about it. Plus, I would have sent the SEALS in different ways into the White House. At least one or two teams by chopper and if there is a defense system on top of the White House like it showed in this film it would have to be taken out especially if the terrorists are using it to keep any person away. Send the SEALS in the front door and back door. The writer did a awful job in writing this script to be honest with you about it.

48) Traitors easily repent their ways and assist the Hero after mere seconds after getting beat up

49) Mike Banning loves knives to people's brains

50) It's always a good idea to keep the President and Vice President in the same bunker in times of crisis

51) South Korean background checks are the worsts

52) All Mike Banning shots are head shots or bloody shots. His knife thrusts as well

53) Terrorists have tiny knives that seem less scary than prison shanks

54) A veteran, heroic Presidential Detail Leader gets demoted to Department of Treasury which is a completely different branch though he did curse out the Speaker of the House once

55) The Speaker of the House can get over being cursed at if he's their only hope

reply

I know this isn't a discussion of plot holes or anything, but several of you seem to have missed some key points.

57) He's using the President's satellite phone. They say it clearly.

Also, Mike was still a Secret Service member, he just wasn't on the POTUS detail any more. So he would still have all the access codes, etc.

Here are a couple of my own though:

58) When a hijacked gun plane is flying around DC shooting up everything, the best place to hide (or just loiter) is right beside the Washington Monument.

59) If the enemy has stolen your advanced weapons system specifically designed to take down aircraft, don't worry about it -- fly your 6 helicopters straight in saying "shouldn't be a problem."

60) If your inside source, hero, who has done everything asked of him so far, asks for a moment to recon said advanced weapons system before you fly your 6 helicopters in, deny him outright.

61) If you have two hostages to interrogate for information, the funniest (err, I mean best) way to extract that information is by offing one at the outset.

>>3. The US Treasury is really that close to the white house.

Not sure what you are getting at with this. The US Treasury headquarters is right next to the White House.

>> 54) A veteran, heroic Presidential Detail Leader gets demoted to
>>Department of Treasury which is a completely different branch
>>though he did curse out the Speaker of the House once

That's not that far fetched, as the Secret Service *WAS* a part of the Dept. of Treasury until about 10 years ago.

>>57) when all the phone lines in the area are down only if you
>>use the presidents phone it goes through every time. Which of
>>course the bad guys can't tract.

The implication was that it wasn't a generic cell phone..it was a secure satellite phone to be used wne other communications were not available.

Oh..and as far as the people commenting about how silly it is that the president's son had a codename...don't tell that to Radiance and Rosebud.

And I thank you for posting this thread and to everyone who contributed to it. Early on when the action started to take place in the movie I had the feelings of fear that I had on 9/11. After a few minutes it became apparent that it was just another unrealistic action/adventure movie. At the time, though, I screamed and it seemed real.

Thank you all for making me laugh.
