I love that the underlying story in this whole show is that Nathan's motivation is always to create almost familial bonds and ties with strangers. It is so terrifically sad.

It is pretty sad. Makes me cringe and laugh. The P.I. got it right. He is indeed the wizard of loneliness.

I might be on the drugs.

Exactly. Up to that point I thought "What a funny show", but that little twist he revealed at the end blew my mind. Nathan Fielder is the brightest talent in new comedy right now.
