I just want to punch the *beep* out of this guy.

But he's a confident douchebag, right? The virginity has to suck, tho
===============
"Remember to douche before you open your mouth - I dunno where it's been."
And that's why you want to physically assault the guy?
shareAt the end of the episodes, I don't feel the jokes are in good fun. It seems like he takes advantage of the people involved, and then doesn't let them in on the joke. It seems mean spirited. And that is why I don't think this show is particularly funny; there is no punchline beyond: people are dumb for trusting me for a few minutes on television.
shareThe people are actors.
You think any business owner, especially one in his mid to late 20s, would be stupid enough to sell poop flavored ice cream?
You think Nathan really met up with a stunt diver on a train platform and made it seem like he was going to push the man in front of a train?

I've checked out a few of them and they are either legit or have been putting a lot of effort to make it seem like they have been running these businesses for several years.
Here's the page of Greg Dohlon (the caricature artist); his web site was copywritten in 2005:

That part was, of course, a joke. It is a common thing in nonfiction covered from a comedic angle. Here's an example from the news part of SNL a week or two ago. The host (Seth Meyer) first reported something from the news (which was true) and followed it with a joke (which was false). He said something to the effect: "This week, scientists published a paper which shows that it is a misconception that condoms reduce pleasure during sexual intercourse." (this was a real story from the previous week). Then Seth said "The study was printed in the latest quarterly issue of Journal of Lies!" (that joke part was not true).
It's a common thing seen in any Talk Show host monologue or in virtually every Daily Show story.
Because the joke at the end was not real, it doesn't mean the stuff before that wasn't real.
There's nothing mean-spirited. It's completely fake, just like every other show on TV.
It's not funny because there's no comedy. A droll, monotone host setting up situations that don't result in anything memorable.
Ah, hate to be the guy judging a book by its cover, but his VERY FIRST SKETCH was poop flavored yogurt? That's your series opener? No thanks! I won't miss ever seeing you do anything ever again, you Canadian idiot!
shareAnd yes, they (or at least one) are actors. I can't place where I recognize the middle person of the poop flavored yogurt focus group, but he definitely was in something moderately released.
share"And yes, they (or at least one) are actors."
The people they bring in to the business, not the business owner, are very likely actors; I'll give you that.
But the businesses all appear to be legitimate businesses.
If they aren't, they have been spending years making fake web-pages, BBB reports and articles making it seem like they are. It seems unlikely that they would have been doing that, in some cases for ~10 years, just for a brief sketch on some Comedy Central show.
This board has no sense of humor. Has anyone here just thought about ending it? Youre already dead inside anyways:D
Go back to your 3 & a half men or some other stupid show that will tell you when your suppose to laugh.
I think it's funny, he's mocking every reality show where some guy comes in to fix a business. He is also mocking other reality show types, like the episode where he has a elaborate setup to just to expose himself in front of children. It was funny because that's how so many shows sell such stupid events. As these huge important events, when they're just *beep* stupid and pointless.
